I'm trying to understand this thread. You said "BIN $100" and "Auction ends 24 hours after last bid" and then mid-stream, you changed the rules. I was planning on waiting a few hours and then bidding.

Maybe I should stick with SEDO.

Nothing wrong with this auction, Bin= Buy it now, if you wanted to stop anyone else buying it you should have bid $100 and the name would have been yours.

In the event that no one bid $100 then the name goes to the highest bid , 24 hours after that bid was placed, in this case cambkey.

How come after an auction is over, people come out of the woodwork and say "I was going to bid such and such." That doesn't make any sense in an auction like this. Waiting for the last minute doesn't secure anyone a name... LOL.

Go to Sedo? LOL. Sedo has been the worst about non-finishing auctions. They have some high dollar auction endings. But their volume is pathetic compared to afternic, etc.

So now that the auction is over. How much WERE you going to bid? How much was this name worth? Was it worth $15?

I am not bailing on .TV yet. Just making an educated observation. I am the one who lost money on this domain. I can do that. LOL.

IMO the 24hr after last bid is what cost you.

I never liked the trying to get more bids by not setting an end date/time auctions. I always forget to follow up. I much prefer a set end date/time...

I think the timezone difference of my bid, weekend listing and the glut of domains for sale in the marketplace section at the moment all conspired to bury this one.

If you would have paid 150, not sure why you wouldn't buy it for 100.

for two reasons:

1) i never saw this auction so i didnt know the bin price
2) even if i knew i wouldnt go this high at once, that would be my maximum bid

ps: timezone difference and weekend ate the 24h

Dont worry too much about it. If you never lose money on a domain now and then you'll probably never make much money either.
