Aplus.Net keeps calling my customers

I run a small time domain registration reseller account via WWD. It’s NameWanted.com. My customers who use it complain about several calls via their Cell and Home Phone of Aplus.net trying to sell all their services to them. Trying to get them to switch to their Hosting etc..

I myself regged one via my own service and got 4 calls i one day..

WWD says there is nothing I can do but contact Aplus.net...

I contacted Aplus.net Legal Dept. and told them to stop calling them but I never got response back..

I know they are contacting via public Whois.. but this is a bit abusive..

Anything I can do?

I just did a search on: Aplus.net cold calling. Seems many people are experiencing similar problems. Someone needs to step up to the plate and sue these idiots for breaking the law (cold calling those on do not call lists).

They call once.. then call again and offer another service.. its BS..

I'm not a lawyer, nor a US citizen, however I'm fairly sure it's illegal to call people on a Do Not Call List in the USA. Take a peek at Canada's stance on this BS. This outta stop this nonsense right in it's tracks! http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/2007/07/05/do-not-call.html

Apparently it's similar in the USA, according to CBC, although I'm not aware of the details.

I forgot the exact details but I believe it is similar to Canda's DNC list.

I would definitely encourage a boycott of this company as unwanted sales pitches are pathetic.

You may be thinking of 1plus.net, which is run by Badger. Aplus.net may be run by a member as well, but not to my knowledge.

Can ICANN really do anything about it? I mean its a public database..

Registers extort us to keep our info private atm lol
