Is anyone still here selling on eBay and making a profit?

I started selling on eBay shortly before the recession started and was able to make a profit on all most all domains I sold (sold 150+ domains), but then after summer last year most of my domains only sold for $2-7 and catching domains became really competitive so I stopped selling on eBay.

Back when I was still making a good profit on Ebay I sold a 4LLL .com for $50 but the buyer never paid so I recently re-listed it with same auction ($0.99 start, Sunday evening, etc) and ended up selling it for $6 :(

I also noticed that most auctions barely have any bids anymore...

I know there were a couple of ppl here on NamePros selling 5-10 domains a day like I did so wondering if business is still good for them and if people are still buying...

I'm asking because I was thinking of starting again but if theres no profit anymore then I'll try something else.

Thanks! :)

Domain sales on eBay went downhill badly. I don't think any serious domainers are on eBay anymore.

Far too many poor domain names have appeared on eBay with too high a starting price, some 15 character long nonsense domains start in the low $x,xxx

Plus I don't feel too safe when buying from eBay.

i only use ebay to buy domains - I have been picking up 3 letter .CO's for dirt cheap

I would only sell domains that would bring under $20 on ebay - domains are dead on ebay.

I rather sell a domain here for $5 than on ebay - their fees are ridiculous and paypal fees suck as well.
I have been buying and selling other items for years and have over 1,200 feedback but never sold any domains

Trouble with Ebay that i can see every time I go and look are the hundreds of "cheap amazing domain hosting packages!!!" that are listed, it is really bad for trying to find what you want, so i don't even try anymore.

Bargains are probably there to be had, but wading through the superfluous crap is not my idea of fun.

purchased a nnnn/com from there after making an offer via a forum but the seller was wishing to build up his ebay rep, it worked out fine and i still have the name.

About 80% of auction type listings fail to meet the target expected price for the seller. It only benefits buyer for auction type of listing because simply, there is no guarantee for seller that the bid will increase to the expectation, without inviting a big bidder from the seller himself, to bid on the auction. Yes, I love to type long run-on sentences fyi, ho ho ho.

I am still selling in ebay.com because I just want to increase my feedback for my next project..
By the way, I have some domain that I buy from ebay for just $1.39 but sell it back for $7.49..
So I gain a profit around $6 which is okay for me.. :)

There are the abundance of webmasters selling and buying domains in Ebay!
It is still competitive place.

Just been looking and though there are one or two that I might consider "interesting", the way that it seems that everyone is describing their crap as RARE! or PREMIUM!! is laughable :p

Ebay needs a search dedicated to domains and also to clean the crap out. When you are searching for stuff those NOT 2,3,4 character listings are really a pain as well as someone mentioned the hosting offers.
