Anyone know when Dan.com will be sunset and replaced wholly by Afternic?
I'd be scared to switch everything to Afternic in its current state. So many things are buggy.
Even that has issues from what I'm reading in other threads, where brokers never get back to the people requesting prices, emails go to spam, etc. That's why i am using Price Request lander at Afternic.
One thing for sure is GD revenue will drop and so as the stock.
- Not taking feedback about Afternic Boost
- Not providing data to backup their claims about the Boost
- Them losing NameCheap / Spaceship for Fast Transfer
- Taking months to fix simple bugs
I'm not so sure about what you're saying about GoDaddy's share price, as activist shareholder Starboard Value actually wants profits to be used to buy back GDDY shares, which will reduce the number of shares in circulation and automatically increase the share price (c.p.).One thing for sure is GD revenue will drop and so as the stock.
It is better. .. but the customer service is pretty bad.One thing for sure is GD revenue will drop and so as the stock.
Hi @domainbidrAnyone know when Dan.com will be sunset and replaced wholly by Afternic?
Hi @domainbidr
This is actually something that we talk about in a recent episode of the Domain Name Wire podcast. We're making progress with moving much of the technology from Dan.com to Afternic, and we'll share more on the next stages with the community later this year.
Sure...most think u should move afternic to dan not the other way around.
What will happen if Dan's staff silently create another version of Dan (and better) so they can launch after GD shut them down?
Now there is the afternic penalty....
But why? Why not simply use Dan instead? Wouldn't that be a lot easier -- and better? We're making progress with moving much of the technology from Dan.com to Afternic

If that's all it is, they can just move their servers to the U.S.Politics. Dan is European.
