Missing domain names in my GoDaddy account

Likelihood of finding great domains on domain expiry sites?
Providers of domain expiry listings generate thousands of domains on a daily basis. Finding a true gem appears to be like a "needle in a haystack" scenario. What are the odds that a valuable domain exists in such a large volume of domain names and is it worth the time and effort to look for them?
