Anyone know the best way to make stencils?

I'm trying out a project and I'm not sure how much of a response I'll get from the project, but I'd like to be ready. I would need to make a bunch of stencils of different logos and I'm not sure how much it would cost to get them professionally done, so I was wondering if there was a way to do them myself with a printer.

I also found this tutorial which shows how to make stickers.
The stickers look perfectly cut and I'm not sure how they do it because its not in the tutorial. So if anyone knows how to make perfectly cut stickers as well, I'd like to know. Either one would be fine.

when we used to put logos down with spray paint we used to print out the logo and then put it onto carboard and cut out all the places that needed ink, then we'd spray it with spray paint. it looks perfect
