HI Guys,

Sorry if this has already been covered or is obvious, but is there a tool like namestat or ntld stats for cctlds?

I'm after daily increase stats and growth etc. so I can compare cctlds.

Thanks for any help on this one, hoping this will help others too!

Domaintools data is not very fresh. Unfortunately they don't show the applicable date.

Yes this is true. Is that the best we have to work with?

Apparently HosterStats.com is no longer maintained but don't hesitate to visit the official registry websites. Many do post statistics.

It is actively maintained. It is just that all the work in putting up the ccTLD stats page was pointless as it was being ripped off. The domain underlying data is still updated monthly.

Some ccTLD registries were treating domain counts like a state secret. Some have opened up and publish monthly or daily stats. However most ccTLD registries do not provide open zone file access to their ccTLD zones.

And a word of warning if your only domaining experience is in .com TLD. The ccTLDs are completely different markets with different dynamics. Trying to apply .com rules to ccTLD domain values generally results in losses.

Thanks jmcc,

Do you care to expand a bit on the different dynamics you mention? Always keen to understand more from a person of experience!
