Does anyone know of a good free stats tracker? I am expecting some traffic for my site but don't have a decent stats tracker (it doesnn't show unique views.

Statcounter is also very good. It's free and invisible on your site. It will count your uniques and page loads for you, and also many other stats for your last 100 visitors.

Most users have images and javascript enabled, and why should you host your own when you could get a much better one for free?

eg extremetracking have worked on theirs for years now and they have made it very good, unless I code a site for a private guy that maybe wants me to make alittle stats scripts then I will but usually I like to have a big and good developed stats script to my own site.

Visitor stats I mean, but if it's only a blog stats then I do it myself or download stats, etc or whatever that only needs a small code to do yourself.
