Anyone herd of Mayer software?

Im looking for some software for 3d animation called mayer or something like that. I have been told that it is a free download if not used for selling or publishing anything on the internet etc. Can anyone help? Even if i have got the name right. I had a look on google but couldnt find anything.

Maya is powerful.
A while back (not sure when), It tried a trial, worked well.
