Anyone having issues with GoDaddy email validation?

I have about 140 domains at Godaddy.

Only about 40 of those are verified because I am using my gmail for my whois contact, and I was able to get the verification email and just click through.

Approximately 100 are associated with an email address under one of my Godaddy registered domains. It is an email account hosted on their webmail server.

First they were instructing me to resend through some banners that were not showing up when I logged in.

Then they told me to go to the dns change page, and there should be a resend banner link there. I did that about 4 times and didnt get the validation email.

I have been going back and forth with GoDaddy customer service every day since last thursday and they keep giving me instructions. They are very slow on the response and I cant even change nameservers without verification on these domains.

I think the issue is with their webmail.

I have two of the unverified domains which are pending sales in the next day or so.

Anyone had any issues with this? Also anyone reccomend an email host for associating with this domain email. I plan to use it for business purposes and the godaddy email has been unreliable.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
**updated** I just helped a friend do his and if you have the same email for every domain in your account then you only need to send one email to verify all the domains in the account but if you have multiple emails you have to verify each individually.

I just did this to about 150 domains and here is how it worked. Thanks to Revolutionary Domains for the start

Log into your GD account.
Go to "MyAccount"
Click to "Launch" Domains
Click on the box to the left of the domain that says "pending whois verification"
(it would not work by clicking all the names that needed verification so I had to do them individually)
hover over the Namservers tab and click "Manage DNSSEC DS Records"
then click "Resend"

Pretty simple process once you know the steps. If you take the time to verify each domain then you know that the emails are not scams because each domains email will be one right after the other. I have about 150 emails in a row that I need to confirm now.
The subject of the email says, "Reminder: Please verify your email address" and the sender is [email protected] then click "verify your email address" and you are done.

i couldn't the emaiul to go to my hotmail address for some reason..

the only way i was able to fix this was to change my email address to a yahoo address. no matter how many times i click resend email, i never received it, despite receiving all kinds of other emails from godaddy on a regular basis.

Is the domain verified already?

If it is not - you can't change anything till it is.

If you need to do the email address change first, I would suggest calling them Jasonn
Just to be sure you are safe :)

what i did was change the email in the account settings first which caused an email to be sent to the new address to verify it. after clicking that i went back into my account and changed all the domain contact emails to the new address and after a couple minutes they were all showing up as active.

The changes they make will probably be bad for business,
too easy to loose a domain because of a missed email.

What happens if it isin't confirmed, BUT is on Auto-renew?
Does it affect the email notifications for that too?

If you are not receiving any email verification in your registrant inbox, try changing your email address to a different one. That was what Godaddy told me. So i did. And immediately the email verification came in.

The tech support guys at Godaddy told me they have no idea why their system is like that.

Anyone. How long did it take for status to change to active? Support told me it could take 24 hrs.
I never received a dam email from GD about this verification until I registered a name today.
They risk getting hit with lawsuits if they don't straighten this out pronto.

In my case, almost instant.

After i clicked verify email, the status changed to active immediately.

Same issue.

1. mail;

Dear Valued GoDaddy Customer,

We noticed that you need to verify your email address. To do so, simply click the button below. You will not be asked to log in to your GoDaddy account — we are simply verifying ownership of this email address.

Without timely verification, you can't fully manage your domain, and we'll be required to put any hosted content on hold.

I was using email forwarding for a contact email, and the verification email was not getting through. after I made a normal email account for that particular email address, the verification email was received.

This Godaddy "Pending Whois Verification" verify your registrant email is becoming such a pain in the ass.

The verification doesn't work! Even the Godaddy tech support guy is scratching his head and doesn't know what is going on.

Basically, their Godaddy system doesn't send the verification email to your email address for reasons unknown. The Godaddy guy simply tells me "I don't why you are not getting the verification email. You probably have to change your email address in your whois and see if that works". And to think i am not using a free email add but my domain hosting add.

Imagine if there was a 60-day domain lock if you change your email address.

The worst part is i got over 100 domains with Godaddy with pending email validation, and the tech guy wants me to change the email address on all of them! What a curse....

You know you can change them all at the same time, right?

Every domain in my portfolio has its own unique email address. I don't use the same email address for all domains.

If you don't mind indulging my curiosity, can I ask why you prefer that?

as far as i know you won't be able to verify your domains if you use a different email address for every domain. it seems their system is set up in such a way that it requires you to use one email address for all the domains.

So that you cannot search my email address in any of the domainer tools and see all the 800+ domains i am holding hostage. lol

I don't think so. Not all of my domains at Godaddy won't verify. Only about half. If that was true, how come a dozen of my other domains at Godaddy verify with no issues? If it's a system issue, all of my domains in my Godaddy account will never verify if that was the case.

I have a problem with it. I understood this was a one time verification. However, every time I buy a domain on NamePros and they push to my GoDaddy account, I have to verify that address again. The strange thing is, I thought this working properly before.
