Anybody ever start a free hosting website

I seen a couple of sales on sitepoint for free hosting sites. I checked out the layeredpanel and seems like a good script (they say its an operating system) Anybody have any experience in free hosting?

Yes i do, I've started 2 different free web hosting sites. My first one was a failure partially due to me since I took a way too good to be true offer from a web host for $50 a year reseller account and I ended up getting shut down and the host took off. My next website I bought a $30 a month reseller plan from ResellerZoom. I put ads up on my website and the websites of my hosted websites and I was making $100 a month at one time until I shutdown the website because I didnt have time with school to manage it.
