No specifics here but general.

Is there any value in a name that has a number in place of a prefix/suffix?

Assumption: The underlying spelled keyword has high value.

Example:
d8.com vs date.com
4play.com vs foreplay.com

I realize that most good ones like this are taken already.

I realize that there are problems such as clarity of communicating address to others.

I realize that seo may be hurt.

I realize that they would probably not be as valuable.

However, it does seem for high value keywords and especially longer high value keywords the brevity and memorability may have some value.

Could they be worth it if acquired for a good price?

I also assume that if worth much they would be better developed or worth more sold to end user wanting shorter domain.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
pappy

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Some yes, most no! It depends on the actual combination. For example, d8.com is obviously super-premium and would not be available under 6 figures (high six-figures at that). A random 149xyz.com can probably be acquired through hand-reg.
