I'm just curious if any members have tried selling .TV domains at BIDO and what their experience has been... The median .TV sale is only slightly under $50 but perhaps those with nice keyword TV domains have done better.

I've put one in but have yet to receive a vote for auction entry(5 are needed) but there are twenty days left so who knows?

I sold WeightLoss.TV a few days ago for $1,360. Took a bit of a hit on it but just didn't have the time to develop it. Hope whoever bought it develops it into something good.

I didn't think to put .TV in the search box - a nice trick! The database has relatively few .TV entries but the sales distribution appears to be similar to the overall pattern. If we exclude the sub-$28 sales now that the minimum is $28, a large percentage of sales are in the $28-$30 range, the median is in the high forties and higher-quality/searched keywords generally will command higher prices. BIDO made the point that about half of domains in auction result in sales. It appears the .TV domains perform slightly better than average (considering sub-$28 sales as non-sales).

I'm sure Bido will get these transfer issues ironed out. But the current system allows a buyer to get the domain and then drag his feet confirming receipt. This means the seller is at the mercy of the buyer as to when he gets paid.

Edit: issue resolved.

That' not cool at all.

After all the hype about verifying ownership, then changing to a more common sense method, one would think that they would see to it that the seller is covered as good as the buyer is. Or is there more to the bido situation than what you are relating? The transactions that I made at Sedo always went smoothly and I got my $$$ when the buyer got his domain name. Should be the same with bido. :sold:
