Any Possibility

Hi, i have a few websites and the server that i hosted them on went down about 2 months ago. I havnt been able to access these sites and i think the guy who owned the hosting site has abandoned it. I had the hosting and domains registered with him. Now what i need to know is if there is any way i can get access to the domain so i can switch them to my new server. (As you can probably tell i am a bit of a noob at this) I really need to get access to these domains but dont think that i can
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the domains are registered by him and the contact details are also at his name you can't do much

If the're registered in your name and you registered through a reseller then you could try going to the registrar website and asking for help there. You can find the registrar from the whois.

Hey, the same thing happened to me with webspace2me I purchased the domain and 2 years hosting and the whole company vanished from the net. I inquired for around 2 months emailing their partner companies, some were helpful and pointed me in the right direction but others didn't help at all. I decided to just cut my losses and move on. My advise is if your making a bit of money, why not get yourself your own server if you have several domains to publish it's more reliable and cost effective! I hope this helps.
