there are still some good non-premiums domains left.
think about a generic name that you'd love to own if it was a .com and check to see if it is available as a .tv
and consider budgeting for a premium... there are some great premiums available for $500. I wish I could buy every single one that I have on my waiting list (200+ premiums), but I know I need to spend time & money developing the ones I already have.
but the non-premiums are out there...
i.e. I already bought the premium Low.TV at re-launch but also grabbed Lowest.TV within the last 48 hours for only $25. It may not be great in everyone's opinion, but for my business model... it is essential to own both. I also picked up several generic Geo-domains for $25 each that I know I can monetize through a few local business ads.
there is gold out there if you know "How" to look, but most importanty if you have a development concept or prospective buyer in mind before you start digging. And of course, stay away from trademarks.
good luck.
