Any free drop catching software or maybe with a free trial?

I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to hand reg decent dropping domains which have some value. Because too many people are after them.
Snamenames and other such services are out of my budget.
I see many premium softwares are available for this.
As I am a newbie I don't want to spend money on such a software as yet. I am looking for a free solution or maybe something that has free trial so that I can test it for a few days and see how it works.
