Drop Catching With A Domain Reseller Account

Hey guys,

I did not know where to post this as there isn't a drop catching section. Anyway, I'm new to the domain industry and I read about drop catching domains. I have a subscription to a website which sends domains that are pending delete within 1-2 days and then I try to catch them through dynadot's api with a custom tool that I have.

The thing is that dynadot's api is really slow and I need something that will give me a response at least every second because from what I've heard every second counts in this industry. I only try to catch those domains which don't have bids on namejet and snapnames.

So I was wondering if anyone knows about a domain reseller program that would be best for this purpose?

Use a backordering service like Namejet,Pool etc. NO API can compete against these services

wrong, dynadots api isn't that slow, your tool isn't good enough but, as kwelx said you won't be able to beat namejet in drop catching.

Well like I said, I don't go for domains that already have a bid on namejet or snapnames.

Just bought DesktopCatcher.. Will see how that goes.. If that doesn't work then will look into trying Pheenix.com

Hey Dj...First off, Thanks for your DesktopCatcher order and you should have already received your key for the software. For those of you in the thread who are not already aware, DesktopCatcher is a piece of Windows software that I've been developing for drop catching. It currently supports ResellerClub, DynaDot, NameSilo, Enom, Moniker and Internet.bs which can all be ran simultaneously for drop catching. I'm finishing up GoDaddy/WildWestDomains integration and that will be released in the next update very shortly. Secondly, you're already on the right track with double checking your names against NameJet and Snapnames. As of this time, there is no other software or script out there which can compete with them. My goal is for DesktopCatcher to put up a fight against them one day and it may be possible, but as of right now it would take a stroke of luck. I always recommend using both namejet and snapnames to backorder a domain if it's one that you really want. But, there are good domains dropping all the time that go without bids on both of those sites.

Exactly, you can't beat these snapnames, namejet etc... I would say....
