analysis .an - Former Netherlands Antilles - ccTLD (Country-Code Top-Level Domain)

I was about to analyze the .an ccTLD and then realized it's been dissolved/discontinued. So this thread is just to acknowledge that, so we all have a reference point for it, before I move on to analyzing the next ccTLD in the list.

.an was the ccTLD for the former Netherlands Antilles. It was managed by the University of the Netherlands Antilles.[1]

On October 10, 2010, the Netherlands Antilles was officially dissolved.
