For those that produce your own material, amazon is now doing the convert and place ads on your videos thing.

Basically you upload a video, they put ads on it and serve the files for you. Low bandwidth for you, advertising revenue for you. Not sure what the percentage is though.

What type of videos should I use?
Your video widgets add value to any video you would share on your website. Some examples include:

• Videos recommending, reviewing or demonstrating one or more products ( "A Comparison of High Definition Televisions", "How to operate an MP3 player", "How to glue a chair using a cabinet clamp")

• Videos related to a topic or event ("My dog Skipper", "A great outfit", "Our family at Yellowstone", "My Daughter’s Piano Recital")

• Humorous, whimsical, or entertaining videos. Make it fun!

• Any existing videos you have – you don’t have to start from scratch to create Your Video Widgets!

I also told Richard that if he does not Trademark or patent the idea quickly that amazon would surely make a comparable system... well there it is! Doh!

i think this is not for you, you need to produce your own video material.

To add to what the op said, you can add your own amazon ads containing your referral links to individual products so you will take some time to figure out what related ads to put on your video, it will just play below the video itself, so the top, left and right of your video still have spaces for your logo or any title you put on the video.

Yes we did release this exact type of widget 18 months ago. And yes we did file a patent for it. We are looking at our options now and have contacted our patent attorney. We have a couple of options we are looking at.
