I have domains with strong keywords

purchase.sg (Overture = 3300000/month)
prices.sg (Overture = 16600000/month)
plastic.sg (Overture = 7400000/month)
cheats.sg (Overture = 11000000/month)
accessories.sg (Overture = 37200000/month)
truck.sg (Overture = 13600000/month)
holland.sg (Overture = 2700000/month)

.sg stands for singapore

All the names are brandable...... Is it really going to bring good for me?

.sg isn't a very strong extension. I am not really sure how much these are worth, but it's probably not a lot. Some of them are probably reg fee.

Still, you could develop them and make them good.

domain names are good but .sg extension may not fetch great value....if you build these they you will get good value from local buyers.

.Sg defiantly kills the value...

I dont want to burst your bubble, but honestly, how many Singaporians are going to be searching for Holland every day?, And what on earth would they be looking to buy? Your other names have promise, no doubt, but Holland? It makes little sense to me.

Ok, now for the good news i think. Keep in mind i was last in Singapore 10 years ago. Rents were $5000 a week, beer was $15 a glass, and garbage men were paid $150,000 a year. If you can target end users in that kind of market, well i think anything is possible. Trucks, accessories, prices and purchase all have upside potential.

purchase.sg (Overture = 3300000/month)
prices.sg (Overture = 16600000/month)
plastic.sg (Overture = 7400000/month)
cheats.sg (Overture = 11000000/month)
accessories.sg (Overture = 37200000/month)
truck.sg (Overture = 13600000/month

It's still a nice "geo .sg" ... that's like lasvegas.asia that sold a while ago (I think that was the domain)

Allright..
You aren't going to be rich, but you're gonna earn some money...

Pool.sg was sold for 1000$, and OnlinePoker.sg for 4.450$, and WHOA, Live.sg for 8k$

I think Prices.Sg, Purchase.Sg, Plastic.Sg, Accessories.sg and Truck.Sg can worth low-mid xxxx$
Cheats.Sg high xxx$
Holland.Sg...LOL...low xxx$
(but let's think...HOLLAND? what the hell? Can't be a France.sg? or a England?? But ok, Holland.sg isn't too bad)

thanks for appraisal guys...
apart from holland.sg i registered those names which can be taken by singaporean market....
as far as holland.sg is concerned..... country names are reserved and not for registration...holland was among very very few available for reg. as netherlands is reserved...but i guess ppl do more search with holland on google.....
so i guess this can increase its value a little bit....also it can be a website for those who wanna go to holland from singapore.....isnot it possible????

Well, if you wanna build a minisite for the holland.sg, can be a mid xxx$ after it...

Are you Singaporean?
There's a Holland Village in Singapore for those who don't know.
I'm a Singaporean. But, I don't see any values in .SG extension. Your best bet then is to develop them.

I am not a singaporean but I know singapore is a developed country and the names which i have registered are not like friendship.sg or cricket.sg because these names look good with TLD..... The names which i have registered can easily depict singapore market situation or can be linked to that e.g. prices.sg can be developed by any one depicting the price difference between different stores or between different product being sold in singapore.....
similarly plastic.sg can be taken by any singaporean plastic making industry e.g. you can check plastic.com.sg .... in a same way truck.sg and purchase.sg and accessories .sg can be taken by people dealing with these things over there.....
as far as webmasters' interest in .sg is concerned ... i can see many developed websites with .com.sg and with .sg......
Finally saying that less population can lower the value doesnot make any sense....if it wud be the case .co.in, .cn, and .pk wud be excelling better than .de and .co.uk..... it all depends on people's interest in a particular cctld

your hope is selling them to singaporean end users.

You may well end up being rich but unlikely via these regs.

Unfortunately Singapore is such a limited market, the main extension is .com.sg for those that don't use the .com.

Hopefully with such keywords you should return reg fee plus plus with the odd one that may hit the relative heights.

Good luck

Jehandad...

At least you are having a go at your local domain names. Do you have much competition? If not go to town and get ones really relevant to Singapore...money market names, etc. Is there a Casino there...some great casino names can make a lot of money, especially the ones tarketing the international high rollers, etc. Good luck. :kickass:

There is no casino/s in Singapore, they are currently building one though, but Singaporians are rather sophisticated, and owning .sg casino domains has no future or large value/s in my opinion.

Purchase and trucks, .sg i think are the best types of domains for end user sales, but as now mentioned .com.sg is also in use, so this further complicates things i think. I would not go overboard in regging 100,s of .sg domains, just stick with end user types like the ones you have, and see if you can sell to rich end users.

Make contact with the 5 largest truck companies and see if they are interested in truck.sg, contact banks and financial institutions and see if they are interested in purchase.sg, same with the others. Find out if there exists a market for the domains before purchasing more.

Although singaporeans do not have casinos and will have one but still onlinepoker.sg was sold at a reasonable price..... however, it's a good idea to find the end user than to search for resellers.
Let me tell u why did i register such names

truck.sg - Singapore has the biggest port in the world. Although i m not in SG but I can imagine how important is it for them to deal with logistics issues because the place where i live has the 2nd largest port of europe and i can see how many trucks ships and trains move in my city round the clock. I am sure it can be good for one of the truck manufacturer in SG

prices.sg - i reg this because i have seen webs making price comparison among local retailers and have the option for users to buy directly from there

plastic.sg- SG has a lot to do with plastic stuff..

cheats.sg - it can be a good web for singaporean gamer

accessories.sg - again it can be picked up by any sg retailer or manufacturer as it covers a vast area e.g. car accessories, computer accessories etc.

purchase.sg - it can be good for local retailers or banks as well

holland.sg --- it can be good for information abt people interested in going holland and can be good for giving info about holland village in singapore.
