Am I Going To Webmaster Hell?

I just switched one of my domain names to domain parking. It is a domain name with very strong keywords and a ccTLD. The domain was fully developed, with good advice, a FAQ and a blog that was starting to get a following. I even wrote a press release for the site. :'( However, the site hasn't been generating any revenue lately, and i know that the name can do very well in the PPC arena.

So, am I going to webmaster hell for this act? Is this a shameful thing to do?

 :-/ :|

I know...I know...I do feel a bit guilty about it for I did invest quite a bit into its developement. But my domains have to work for me, or else they're just a financial burden, if you see what I mean.

Don't know about Webmaster Hell, but you will lose whatever link popularity, search engine rankings, pagerank, goodwill and repeat visitors you had.

You didn't want to just load it up with Adsense ads? Or they weren't paying well enough?

Yup; my only real concern is the loss of page rank, but I am confident that I can restore the site to its previous state if I decide to take it out of parking at some point. I control a large portion of the inbound links to the site, and bringing the website back online is simply a matter of changing the nameservers.

AdSense was keeping the site alive with some nice earnings, but G decided to "disable" my AdSense account some time ago. Not sure why: I got the standard invalid clicks" email that could mean anything. So I am going to park the domain for a while, maybe until Yahoo! goes live with their program (I tried to get into the beta program but every time I visit the online form to apply, the form isn't working!) I'll see how it goes.

So, this is in fact all Google's fault! Yup.
