Am I being unreasonable?

I had a domain reseller, (How I know this is looking up his domain, linking his name) wanting to buy my domain name for 150.00 (texandemocrat dot com)

I recently have had other higher offers, that didn't pan out. I have built it up and am making 5-7 dollars from adsense. I have submitted several articles that are pending approval, so I am trying to get traffic from it, etc. I have written articles and still have 20 more that I plan to use with the site.

I told them that was a very low offer, I also told them I wanted $10k or more and they wrote back and told me I wouldn't get anything higher than what he was offering.

I want to sell it but I am still in the air about it.

Also would anyone out there know the best way to sell this and where to sell this?

Don't fall into the trap that you need to sell for X revenue. and there's no need to accept the first offer that comes your way. If you countered with $10K, then stick to your guns and only accept an offer that appeals to you. There is no right or wrong counter-offer: buyer or seller... only look for deals that are win/win... some domainers will tell you that your price was unreasonable, greedy, overpriced, whatever... pay little attention to those who do not put food on your table... you can hear their advice, but not always need to follow.

BTW, nice site. keep up the good work. It's great to see domainers move into development phase.

so far I am at $2.57 and its only 11 am here I had added 16 articles and so far 10 have been approved.

I am going to make it earning more, I am trying to think of more ways to monetize it.

I gotta get creative.

The elections aren't for another 9 months, plenty of time to get it to where I would like to have it. Also politics are always on everyone's mind.

Have you tried other ways of promoting apart from just submitting articles? Try to contribute at election related forums... might just get you a nice steady traffic uptil the polls.
