All extensions already taken - What's next ?

Trying to register a domain but the .com, net, info, biz, .co.uk, .co are already taken, which extension has more value today ?

That's easy, none of the one's listed below have one advantage over the other!.

Looking at the list below, I'd say, .ws & .tv would be valuable simply on their branding.

I'd say .in simply because india is an established and huge market. Also there might be some hack potential such as lived.in (not a real example).

.tv has a lot of hype, but personally, I don't see any value/demand for reselling the other extensions. Of course there will always be exceptions.

My advice would be to brainstorm and find another domain in the .com extension. Also look thru the lists on GoDaddy,SnapNames,NameJet.

I would also try to find another domain. But if you don't want to do that, I would rank these as follows:

.ws - In general people know this one
.in - If related to India, the best choice
.tv - If related to TV, my next choice
.to - In the US, we mostly only see this used by spammers... sorry!

1. How about .US domain vs .IN domain ? I tried also to register a .US domain at godaddy and since I'm not a .US citizen godaddy doesn't allow me to do it. As EU citizen can I register and resell a .US domain outside USA, or do I get in trouble?

2. How do you define a good domain hack ? Is the following a good example:

hotne.ws

I mean how many people will remember and type a domain name like this one?

3. I know that appraisal websites like estibot are not so reliable but anyway I got an appraisal for the .IN domain extension higher than .US extension, how is this possible?
