Should I register this fantastic domain name

Hi Members

I have a situation. I have found a name

• Which is a single word

• Is taken in all extensions except ORG.UK(COM,NET,ORG,INFO,MOBI,TRAVEL,BIZ,US,CO.UK,ASIA,TV,CC,CN,BZ,ME.UK,ME are all taken)

• "Exact keyword" results on google is 34,400,000

• All other extensions are undeveloped except for .Biz

What should I do leave it or register it ? will ORG.UK make it worthless

.org.uk usually suggests it's a UK-based charity or NGO of some kind... it's pretty worthless on the reseller market, unlike .co.uk.

The domain itself might be worthless on the market, but if developed and you have traffic and revenue, could this not become more valuable?.

I just quickly checked the past 3 months sales of few one word .ORG.UK. The don't all look like charity orgs.

Broadbands.org.uk $175
Owen.org.uk $400
RSB.org.uk $589

Does your opinion change in the light of this data?

I would grab it for how much its gonna cost ya. Then develop it and try to earn some revenue.

If anything you will increase the value from the traffic.

Is taken in all extensions, but only the biz is developed.
Well, there should be a question, why only the biz which is developed?
If the domain is so "exciting", other owners should develop them too, at least into a small minisite.

But of course if you have a plan to develop it well, .org.uk is not a problem

I just got these two: GameFanClub.Org and WiiFan.Org

If you develop domains regularly I advise you to register and develop. If not...dont bother. You may end up paying registration fees like me and everyone else and do nothing with the name.

I would unless the domain matches the .org.uk.

I do not see any value in resale or development.

If you've given it a thought to register..then it obv would be fantastic for you...i mean, no one would say, this domain name is useless..should i register??

but beware, most of the domains/extensions are out there just to misguide you...

A strange feeling I have... You find domain name intesting and you doubt. Now that is not a fortune to register domain name

I have myself a lot of single word org.uk domain names, but never found buyers so, you can take the risk but the result is not guaranteed. Anyway, if you build a traffic and get a good PR for that, it could work for sure.
