Hi All,

I registered a domain www.thelongdistance.com about 2 months or so ago and have developed a Long distance and general relationship forum on the domain. When i check the alexa.com traffic rank on this url:
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/thelongdistance.com

it shows the traffic ranking for Yahoo! Mail...?!? Can anyone shed some light on this? was the domain previously used by Yahoo? And does anyone know how i can get this changed or will it come right over time?

Thanks in advance!

all i can see from your page source is this
Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/yui/yahoo-dom-event/yahoo-dom-event.js?v=372"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/yui/connection/connection-min.js?v=372"></script>
is that intentional?

It is certainly not intentional from my side. I have very little knowledge about building and developing sites, coding and all that. I had someone design and implement the forum for me, so from my side, it is certainly not intentional...

Due to those links, it's spoofed alexarank, something similar like spoofed pagerank.

You should be able to get this changed by doing the following:

1. Go to: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/contact_info?url=thelongdistance.com

2. Fill in the appropriate information.

3. Follow up on any communication Alexa representatives may need to ascertain your identity.

I had this happen to me a few months back and Alexa rectified the problem in about a week.
