what do you guys think of the Alexa update?

They changed their algorithm, and after that nothing makes much sense anymore.

For instance, my site Estibot.com now shows N/A (not in top 100,000) for the past week or so, even though it now gets over 30,000 hits daily, which is more than it used to when it was ranked much higher. As my traffic goes up, the Alexa rank goes down. It just doesn't make any sense.

Maybe they were a bit too quick to launch the new algorithm. Any experiences?

If you type in Namepros, Sedo, Snapnames, Namejet,...

Maybe Alexa is trying to get rid of the WM bias? Domaining sites as a whole seem to have taken quite the beating in their rankings.

Alexa was good when there were fewer websites, its toolbar was used widely and the
results were fair, but except for the top websites its ranking is not reliable in the
present scenario.

There are other sharper analytic tools available one of them being compete dot com
which does not solely depend on toollbar.

Alexa has always been bunk. Any change has to be an improvement!
