I don't get it...we heard Nashville.us sell last week for a whopping $23k.
My first initial thoughts were that Fred Thompson was in the audience at the New York TRAFFIC Live auction and was setting up his political web presence.
Well, that wasn't the case as I have learned through the USForum.us. According to their source it appears that an avid .com supporter has temporarily jumped ship...but it still would have been good for Fred when he announces his US candidacy next week in his home base of Nashville.

Well, here's what I don't get, Nashville comands 63,900,000 google results, Alburquerque 33,700,000, true not near as many. However even with those results shouldn't Albuquerque.us be worth @ least $10k?
Well today it sold for $2,360 in the Moniker Silent auction, with only one bid... D-:

What is up with that? :-/

Great question. Personally, I think it has a lot to do with the ease with which Albuquerque can be misspelled, the lack of familiarity of many individuals with the city of Albuquerque (as opposed to Nashville), and the immediate cultural connotations of Nashville (music, for instance--although Neil Young always comes to mind when I hear mention of Albuquerque).

All that said, I still think the buyer of Albuquerque got a tremendous deal.
