Spade said:Good, because you will lose money on this deal. Even with successful development, you have to answer one simple question - why?...
Why use a .mobi and not a .com?..... that answer still has yet to be answered in my mind.
lappanion said:Hmm.

Dot com does'nt cut it...even on a iphone!
Try godaddy.com and then godaddy.mobi from
your mobile and see what mobi is all about![]()
I think it's ideal if you already have an established "traditional" website. For companies or individuals that are just getting in the game, .mobi is the only way to go mobile. Aside from that, branding potential would be another reason to use .mobi (foxnews.mobi).Spade said:I have an iphone - and I run full sites on it constantly. But once more, I reiderate - why .mobi vs using a subdomain like m.domain.com ? Why a new TLD for something?
Heck - even CNN redirects you to the m.cnn.com when you visit from a mobile phone - wouldnt that be the ideal way?

I have an iphone too. I avoid .com at all costs but maybe it's just up to the user to decide which they like best.
