Air.mobi worths the development, fits .mobi well. I can easily think of many niche to dev this name. And it does have great potential to get resell to travel niche end users.

But as for DVR, I'm not sure how it can be used on Mobile devices.

Good luck!

thanks for the input guys i am looking forward to development. (travel and airtravel is my favourite niche).
As for Dvr.mobi it appears to have a bloody high max. PPC ($7)

How would you develop the 2?

Good Luck with your developments ... thus far mTLD has let everyone down insofar as sticking to their earlier promises of development requirements dates and the now abandoned RFP process, as well as hoarding 1,000's upon 1,000's of developable premium / generic terms for their own :$: GREED MONEY! :guilty: :imho:

I'd say DVR is worth approx. very low $Xxx, and AIR approx. low - mid $Xxx ... in other words, I think you overpaid for both in the current .MOBI Malaise™ aftermarket environment, IMHO. :red:
Hopefully your own unique and compelling development plans - for exclusive use for those that are "on the go" will work to your benefit (with assistance, one day, from actual development enforcement and promotions of the extension from mTLD)! :|

Best of Luck.

Good, because you will lose money on this deal. Even with successful development, you have to answer one simple question - why?...

Why use a .mobi and not a .com?..... that answer still has yet to be answered in my mind.

Clearly your missing the point. Im not suggesting you use Air.com. What I am saying is that even if you properly develop a .mobi site - why would anyone use it?

My iPhone doesnt need mobile version sites and even if I visited a site that wanted me to see a mobile site (like CNN.com) they simply redirect me a subdomain (usually m.)

Uhh, have you tried the internet on a phone?
Dot com does'nt cut it...even on a iphone!

Just noticed your reference to sub domains. These
only work for owners of existing "traditional" websites.

Try godaddy.com and then godaddy.mobi from
your mobile and see what mobi is all about ;)

I have an iphone - and I run full sites on it constantly. But once more, I reiderate - why .mobi vs using a subdomain like m.domain.com ? Why a new TLD for something?

Heck - even CNN redirects you to the m.cnn.com when you visit from a mobile phone - wouldnt that be the ideal way?

I think it's ideal if you already have an established "traditional" website. For companies or individuals that are just getting in the game, .mobi is the only way to go mobile. Aside from that, branding potential would be another reason to use .mobi (foxnews.mobi).

I have an iphone too. I avoid .com at all costs but maybe it's just up to the user to decide which they like best.

I dont meant to sound rude - but your still not answering my question. Why ".mobi is the only way to go mobile" (assuming your "new" to the game).

.mobi has almost zero consumer recognition and you clearly risk traffic bleed - and what happens when mobile sites become a thing of the past (and you know they will, soon).

My best friends all have super cool iPhones ... and the .COM internet works perfectly for each of them while they're "on the go", IMHO. :music: :talk:

Which new companies that are just getting in the game are solely using - and also heavily promoting - the "dot Mobey"? Additionally, as I've been stating since '06 ... the branding of the long, two syllabled, and extremely awkward "dot Mobey" is and will continue to be highly problematic and essentially a branding NIGHTMARE! :guilty: :imho:

You're welcome, and I wish you all the best with your unique and compelling developments (personally, I'd seek a refund if your bids were potentially below the stated reserve prices)! :yell:
