Afternic selling gambling domains?

You cannot even talk about gambling domains in Afternics discussnames forum. Interesting when you think about the name of that forum. Maybe they should rename it discussnonbannednames

Anyway I am pretty confused as it seems if the new owner of Afternic chooses to allow certain gambling domains.

I used to say Afternic is a looney bin. Don't know what to say now.

Interesting point -- clearly they're going public, which explains the "move" (or perhaps shift?) away from "vice" domains; you're right, though: their filters need work.

This in my opinion is about Afternic refusing to let members list gambling names and even limiting free speech in their forum, (discuss names) by not even allowing the discussion of adult or gambling domains!

Yes we knew that is the new rules there, that gambling and adult names can not be sold or parked. But to not allow members to talk about those names?.

But it seems those rules can be sidestepped if management wants to sell or allow certain gambling domains. They can (pick) names they like and say those ones are o.k. as if that makes the gambling names somehow not as bad as the others that are not allowed.

The new owner of Afternic not culling certain gambling or betting related names that are up for sale, but still telling members at the same time and publicily that they cannot import their own gambling names is a very blatent sidestepping of their new stated purpose.. Plamson states, out of five gambling related domains that were up for auction a couple days ago that four of them are o.k. to leave in the auction house and sell, lol

Do you think that is fair to members of Afternic that cannot even talk about gambling domains to have management tell us those four names are o.k. to leave in but everyone elses names are not?


The names that Afternic say are o.k. to leave in the auction house for sale are;
