I'm a little confused when it comes to the GoDaddy Domain Auctions changes.

You can no longer list domains for sale on GoDaddy. However new domains are being listed for sale daily on Godaddy Auctions. Are these expired domains or who sells these?
auctions.godaddy.com

Instead we can list our domains for sale on Afternic. But you can no longer search for domains on Afternic, if you want to buy a domain you get redirected to Godaddy:
godaddy.com/domainsearch

When I list a .com domain on Afternic with BIN it will show up on GoDaddy with BIN (but only if I type in the exact name).

But when I list a non .com domain on Afternic with BIN it will not show up on GoDaddy with a BIN. Instead it says that the domain is taken and that you need to pay a broker service fee of 119,99 $ in order to buy the domain. Why is that, is it supposed to be like this?

Unfortunately, it is (and has been) a confusing time at Godaddy/Dan/Afternic.

Insiders and Godaddy reps indicate a major update is coming soon...mid to late summer is what the grapevine says.

I'm hoping they are able to bring together the best of all three into one site that smoothly operates and offers REASONABLE commission charges for sales made on the platform.

Until the time arrives when and if all the bugs are worked out of the new iteration, I will use Name Pros landers and take advantage of the Dan/Afternic lead import or I will use Escrow to handle transactions.

Those are either Godaddy expiring domains, or domains listed through Afternic ( when you list a domain at Afternic it will show up in Godaddy Auctions)

Yes, now you only use Afternic to list your domains, and your domains will show up in Godaddy and other registrars and there where the buyer will find your domains. Or you can use Afternic lander and the buyer purchase's your domain through the lander.

It is not supposed to be like that, the non .com domain should show up at Godaddy with the BIN you set at Afternic, try tweaking the price or delist and list again.
And make sure the domain is not pending review, if it is pending review it won't show up at Godaddy.

Hi @Cat.
Let's go through this, so hopefully it becomes clearer for you. If you have any further questions, please reach out to the support team!

New domains are being listed for sale daily on GoDaddy Auctions. Who sells these?
GoDaddy Auctions primary focus is expired domains. So, every day, thousands of new expiry domain names from GoDaddy and our partners are added to the site for you to bid on. There are also Closeout listings, which are domain names that made it through the auction process without receiving a bid, which are turned into Buy it Now listings.

As a caveat, Afternic domains also show up on GoDaddy Auctions, because GoDaddy Auctions is a part of the Afternic Distribution Network. A perk of listing at Afternic is that all eligible names show up for sale when someone searches for them at GoDaddy Auctions.

Correct. So few sales happened through Afternic.com (less than 1%), that we chose to redirect customers to the GoDaddy search path to search for and buy aftermarket domains. Afternic is focused on things that are driving 99%+ of sales to customers, including its distribution network and landers.

Searching for the Afternic-listed exact-match domain at GoDaddy will show you the domain name, whether it has a Buy it Now price, or not. In some rare circumstances where the TLD isn't supported by GoDaddy, domains won't be displayed, but for all others, it'll show you the domain name. As @mogo says, check that your domain isn't pending review in your Afternic account. Please feel free to DM us with an example.

One question about this. Why doesn't GoDaddy Auctions adhere to the specified minimum offer values set through Afternic?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

None of my domains are pending review on Afternic.

.com domains I uploaded on Afternic (BIN) last year do not show up on GoDaddy Auctions.

.com domains I uploaded on Afternic (BIN) a couple of days ago show up on GoDaddy Auctions.

Non .com domains I uploaded on Afternic (BIN) last year do not show up on GoDaddy Auctions.

In order for the old domains to show up on GoDaddy Auctions I have to delist them and list them again?

Non .com Afternic listings with BIN: extensions like .net .xyz and .one do not show up on GoDaddy domain search with BIN. Instead you get the message with the broker service fee. I uploaded them on Afternic last year. I have to delist them and list them again in order for them to show up on GoDaddy with BIN?

Is there a list of extensions that are not supported by GoDaddy?

Domains I uploaded on Afternic last year: I had to delist and relist these domains in order for them to show up on GoDaddy Auctions and the Godaddy domain search.

You should inform sellers about this.
