Afternic categories

This may sound very stupid,

but can someone explain me how to browse through categories in afternic? I'm used to the Sedo layout, and somehow I can only find how to search through afternic's database based on domain name. I'd like to search through categories. I know it's possible but I just can't seem to find an "advanced search" feature, or something like that.

Interesting... I listed a few names with them before, and I do recall having to specify category. I just went to the site and like you, I can't seem to figure out how to narrow down a search either.

It's not neccesary to specify a category (you don't get the option to when you list your domain), however after it is listed you can choose an category (and description etc.) when you go to your profile and go to "my domains". But even though you can choose a category, I haven't been able to browse through categories when searching for listed domains by other people.

I can't say I'm pleased with how things are on afternic (login issues, etc.), but that's another thing. For now I'm just wondering if there are any options to search through their database other than having to specify a domain name.

I just thought of something,

Domains listed at Afternic show up on other sites like Buydomains.com - which DOES have an advanced search feature with categories. Try that
