So i took the advice of you guys here and read a lot of material here on the site. After learning how to search for good domain names, and the dos and dont's I decided to purchase another one. I wont purchase another one until this new one here sells. I have learned my lesson, and come to terms that my first two domains may not sell. That's fine. At least the investment was minimal. I think I can just take them and turn them into monotize sites.

The new one I bought is (socksnthings.com). I'm selling it on GoDaddy right now, and think I picked a decent domain name. Perhaps I will be able to get my first sale really soon. What do you guys think?

Hey, good idea Walker. That strategy would keep new domainers out of trouble.

This name seems to have been registered before in 2013 and then dropped in 2014. This would indicate there was not a great deal of interest in this name, if it didn't get re-registered again until 2017. The target end-user for this name would be someone wanting to name their business SocksNThings. Not impossible, but you may have to wait awhile for a sale... All the best.

Right now i'm just focusing on flipping it right away for more than I bought it for. Not gonna sit on it. The domain appraises for a decent amount, but I'm not going to assume that I will get that amount for it. I feel if I can at least get $50 from it, that would be a good first sell.
