Hi Guys,

I'm a curious domain investor/flipper from the UK and would like your thoughts on the value of my first set of domains.

TaxSt .com
hitters .net
daytripster com
golden-coins .com
GrownMe .com
drankers com
4x4experiences .com
wallboxinstallers .com
chargingboxes .com
chargemats .com
5Gbooster .com
5Gsimcard .com

I have landing pages for around half of them, the rest to be created. I get the feeling parking isn't worth the time money wise - perhaps compared to a decent landing page the invokes trust, that is what I'm trying to do, see hitters.net as an example. Let me know which ones might feel good to you so that I can evaluate which ones to push with promotion.

Thanks.

James

imo, only chargemats.com has any potential.

As for the rest, I would ask yourself - 'which one of these domains would you buy and want to use for your own business, and, how would you do so'? Better yet, answer and explain it here for others to see. Because if 'you' can't/wouldn't do so with any of those domains, why would anyone else want to?

just my opinion.

Hi @DomainHype
Thanks for sharing your list. I too have found that on some names Afternic takes forever to approve on names that I can't for the life of me see why they aren't instantly approved. About your names themselves...

I like TaxSt .com by far the most. Lots of potential for a firm/consultant offering expertise on taxation, very general so works in any country, etc.

I see some potential in most of the rest, although areas that I don't really have expertise in.
4x4experiences .com would work well for a site where you could be guided in trying 4x4 driving, or one that sold units, etc.

Although a lot are negative on hyphens, golden-coins has a sort of golden ring to it, either for investors putting some funds into gold, rare coin collectors, or perhaps as a metaphor for something else.

I like the look of your lander for taxst, but I am confused in that the first paragraph seems on this domain, and the next on charging boxes, which are totally unrelated to me.

Good luck with them! Of course Undeveloped would be another option for listing.

HeHe

I would keep drankers.com and wait until trump tweets it one night :xf.laugh::xf.laugh:

Thanks so far - really interesting to see individual takes on the list.

taxst or taxSt.com triggered something within freevaluator.com and came out at 19k. I felt golden-coins.com was the hottest based on huge keyword monthly and the crypto thing.

Thanks for spending the time to respond. Here's my rationale

TaxSt .com. Obviously tax/finance world.
hitters .net basketball or similar sports
daytripster com leisure industry, day trip info
golden-coins .com. Crypto, games or casino
GrownMe .com this was a personal millennials project only
drankers com this was based on rise in lingo, more fun than business
4x4experiences .com obvious for off road sires
wallboxinstallers .com electric cars have domestic wallboxes to charge - this will grow hugely
chargingboxes .com - as above , but more of the user Search term for these wallboxes
chargemats .com - as BMW announced, cars will be charged with NFC mats and also people use this terms for mobile phone NFC mats
5Gbooster .com - as per the product , WiFi booster etc for 5g next year
5Gsimcard .com - used by sim card resellers

Let me know if any of this makes you change your mind in any way.

Thanks for your help

I like TaxSt the most too. It's short and brandable. The only downside is that if someone uses it- they'd probably be interested in owning both taxstreet.com and taxst.com otherwise they'd be facing some issues. TaxStreet.com is just an empty wordpress site at the moment so it's not unlikely that it can be bought. So that one's definitely a keeper. Couldn't find value in the rest. Good luck!

Thanks, I did wonder if 4x4experinces.com might work better as an affiliate site opposed to straight domain flip.

My favourite is golden coins, know it has a hyphen but it is generic and huge keyword search match.

I work in the auto industry so I'm looking at 4x4 and car charging etc hence the wallbox domains around electric vehicles.

Thanks, funny nobody is picking it as taxst as in taxed past tense.. thanks for the advice on the family of domains..

There are no real comments around the last 5 on my list, is that generally because they are more speculative around 5G and electric cars that there is no perceived value right here today - is that the general rule?

You don't want to go down that path. Taxst isn't taxed. When you use an intentional typo- you can't make more than one change to the original word- otherwise the word becomes nonsensical and it seems unprofessional. Taxd would be a good example of a good brand if taking the intentional typo route.

Good point, I guess any time you have to explain how to spell it you aren't onto a good one.

If you can explain it in one sentence easily- it can work. Though naturally passing the radio test is much better. Regarding the last five- they might be valuable. I personally have no idea if they're worth something or not because I don't deal with these type of domains. Often companies don't even bother registering their product names. Though if you happen to get a popular product name (that doesn't infringe on trademarks) it can be valuable. Personally I think that most of the time company names are more valuable than product names, but as I mentioned- I'm not into these domains so I'm not that well informed.

I wouldn't say they are great names, but they are not terrible either!
