Working on a project regarding credit cards, have been trying to find a multi-faceted credit card domain for brandable use, yet has keyword exposure. Have not been able to find that best of breed domain. Was searching buydomains and found creditcardloans.com ... good domain, one issue,

They want $262,500.00... What is the best way to barter price... Usually they have request price, but this is a buy it now price...with no other contact area other than their standard contact us email area to mkae an offer.

Realistically top end any advice on true value of domain, when making an offer, I know I might have to pay a bit more because I want it, I have a proper budget, but this asking price way high, or maybe I am wrong?, any input appreciated...

Not really sure how to bargain with BuyDomains, but I'd say it's the same as any bargaining - counter with what you feel is fair, and see what they come back with.

I'll save you a bunch, and sell you BestRewardsCreditCards.com or CreditCardOffer.net for half of what BuyDomains quoted you!! (and even will dicker from there..)

Thanks, for the advice, obviously two word credit card domain will never see daylight again (creditcards.com) with the sucess of visa's ipo, it might just actually hit the market and raise enough capital to expand. So there can only be great three word domains in this field, BestRewardsCreditCards is a good name, but 4 words is a bit much for me, and CreditCardOffer.net is a great name as well, but most likely a large portion of my traffic, and advertising would give the .com a great boost at my expense, not willing to do that. So .com is King with me for now... I will contact them, and see what they can do, I will keep the board informed to my efforts just for fun, to see where I can get them to bite, if I can....

They do negotiate but if its priced that high its going to be a struggle :|

Pitty, you just missed creditcard101.com for sale here at namepros, maybe the new owner will be willing to sell ???

I assume you like 101 names going by your user name ;)

here's the thread it was in - http://www.namepros.com/domain-appr...-makes-sense.html?highlight=creditcard101.com

.

Thanks, yea creditcards101 is more of a novelty domain, I need a serious business name that will get street credit, as I want to use my experience in Finance, and banking to work on a few niches, and create a revenue generating site, with the help of some good programmers that I have been referred to of course. As for my user name, the first thing that came into my head, couldn't be bothered to think, but yea 101 beginners college course numbers, but really looking for strong 3 word credit card keyword domains.

If the domain is owned by NameMedia, they usually have about 25% to negotiate with. Which means you can knock the price down. If this is simply listed, then its at the owners discretion.

When it comes to CreditCardsXXXXX.com ... not much avaliable... I really want CreditCards, and something to do with additional items the site might market.. ie loans...something relevant... Just funny how they are asking so much for it, so I have emailed them, and will see what they get back to me with.

From what I know of BuyDomains, they usually have a very wide range to negotiate. Their asking price may be 3x the floor price, the lowest the sales team are authorized to go. Start your negotiations way low, like a quarter of the asking price; for that kind of money, you'll be given lots of attention. One thing is for sure:They won't sell for a loss, so you have nothing to lose.

Hey,

I can sell CreditCard101.com which is extremely brandable credit card names that may ever be available in the market..

Btw, Mortgage101.com is #1 or #2 in Google for the term 'mortgage' and is owned by a large corporation (InternetBrands.com)! they also own Loan.com etc..

Pm me if you are interested..

Thanks,
Sai.

well, I would say give them your best offer. I would personally give them an offer of 100 000 which they will not accept and then give them my best offer and tell them that thats the best I can do so they know if they refuse you will not get a higher offer, (they should probably accept your second offer) But if they refuse again you pay the full price if you want the domain badly. Good Luck

I don't see why this domain should have such an high bin. I would rather pay like a fourth and spend the rest on building the business.
On that note; I can offer cc-s.com for way less. With some visualisation it's a small credit card in your domain name. :)
