for the search term "droid cells"...which surprised me "big time" as I didn't expect it to appear AT ALL! Well, maybe on the hundreth page or so. The website is less than 10 days old, I'm still trying to build it and have taken no efforts to achieve a #1 status, other than registering the domain name "DroidCells.com" last February. I have not even submitted it to SE's. I haven't even built my Google site map yet. I do have DroidCell.com forwarded to it.

So I'm thinking this is a great position to be in...but now I need to take advantage of the #1 position on Google and for it to make some money, some how, some way.

Any ideas??? Anything???

Last time I posted here (the only time - I'm a newbie) my post received 74 views and not a single reply! So, as incentive, I added a poll! Still NOTHING!

The website is evidently getting some (not much) traffic...and I don't know how long it has been #1 on Google but suspect it may get more over time.

I trust y'all for some suggestions. Thank you kindly, in advance.

I don't know. The #1 Position for the keyword does not help much if nobody is seeking with
that keywords, so that's probably why you don't get much traffic.
Good luck with the sale.

I don't know if individual cell phone name DN's really do that great or not. Will the Droid be as big as the iPhone was when it was realeased? Probably not but I really havn't read too much about it so I don't know. Good job on the ranking though, now expand upon those terms and start making some money.. :)

Thanks, now I also know I'm not invisible...

...really, I was beginning to think so!

I feel fortunate to have regged DroidCells.com back in Feb '09 after reading of the potential for cellphones using the Android 2.0 O/S. I was concerned a little about TM issues, but figured "droid" alone would not infringe. Even more fortunate, I feel, is the fact that the TV commercials and marketing strategies have followed suit and are using "droid" instead of "android"...Tv commercial uses "DroidDoes.com"...

I will take your advice and add keywords (which I have still not yet done...as I continue to build pages (content)...

Thanks again...always looking for pertinent advice from other's experiences!

Droid is a new phone by Motorola/Verizon, not to be confused by the Android platform.

Android = software, Droid = hardware

Unfortunately nobody is searching for that term. Another thing is that a Google search with quotes turns up only 162 pages, so the term has pretty much no use in society.

enjoy the excitement and being number one...it is only temporary.

google seems to do that and you will stay there for three/four weeks then disappear.

it has happened to lots of time, especially for a new term or category that you create....hope i am wrong.

like you said....you did nothing......it is only temp.
