Advatage to owning multiple etentions (same domain)?

In your opinion, what are the main advantages to holding a domain in multiple extensions?

if it is generic term then u can start selling non .com ext first and enjoy

If we're talking about holding them, I'd say there's very little value aside from blocking people out of your sector.

Truth is, a well-developed .COM with an excellent domain name should dominate for your desired search terms well enough that the .NETs, .ORGs, etc are just a small insurance policy.

- limiting potential buyer come to you (when someone looks for domain.com he could go for domain.net or domain.org if they are cheaper)
- additional argument (maybe only one) for counteroffers (example: "If you pay me 200$ more, you get domain.com & domain.net")
