Advantages of owning multiple extensions?

Hi everyone. What would you say is the advantage of owning multiple extensions of the same keyword?

For example, I own the following and I'm thinking of how to best market them:

1. BuyFones.com
2. BuyFones.org
3. BuyFones.net
4. BuyFones.info
5. BuyFones.biz

I can think of three advantages:

1. No one can piggyback on your success by starting a website with the same keyword in a different extension.

2. You never have to worry about your customers forgetting if your website is a dot com, dot net, dot org, etc.

3. Helps to protect your trademark.

Any others?

although you don't have any of the cctlds, if you did then you could better localize and optimize websites that are relevant to different markets.

For my own website, I own both the .com and .info variant. I didn't bother registering any other extention, but if I were a trademark holder I probably would have bought the .org and .net as well. IMHO it is very good to buy several extentions if you are a company or trademark holder and you want to avoid other companies with similar names causing confusion to your customers. For people running websites as a hobby, I don't see the point in owning multiple extentions.

Nah, I don't go for those. I think continent extensions like .eu or .asia are a dead end.
