Adult names + ccTLD

I notice, when looking at sales figures, that the majority of XXX-related domains making profits, use a gTLD. I was wondering, if you have a good adult keyword combined with a ccTLD (like .tv, .co.uk, .de, ...) if it would make a lot of profits as well? And what about an adult keyword with a more tropical extention like .cc, .il, .be, ... ?

I always thought that sex always sells and that the average person looking for online porn does not really care about the extention of the domain. However, I do notice many adult names making a lot of profit have a gTLD while the list of valuable adult names with ccTLDs seems shorter. Would there be a market for adult names in combination with ccTLDs? I'm sure there would be a lot of good adult keywords still available in some ccTLDs...

PS: I am only thinking about profit, I don't watch adult sites myself. So please don't think of me as a pervert :hehe:

Sure you don't, you just visit them for research purposes

You mentioned .cc, .be, .il - I wouldn't waste my money buying in those extentions. I would stick with the popular main extentions that do well.

Yes you can get excellent keywords as you move into the lesser extensions - and the search engines supposedly do not care what ex. you use.

But be aware that many countries do not allow p0rn on their domains.

BTW, I just read the articles.

That's a great excuse! :hehe:

I wonder though if the ccTLD would really take away lot of the value. Imagine a good adult keyword like for example bl*wjob ... I figure it would still keep its value when you use a .nl, .co.uk, .ws domain or so? I am not sure about the more obscure extentions but even those, I cannot see the domain by without value as long as the keyword is good?

The countries blocking adult names ... the list is not that long. Most of those are Arab countries like .sa, .ae and such. But I have never heard yet of a European country blocking adult name registrations, sole exception being San Marino because they feared their .sm extention would attract an overload of p0rn-related registrations.

I think adult names in ccTLD would still be very handy and that possibly the sites wanting the domains would not be too fussy of the extension, they would most likely desire the keywords, and if you can find the great keywords it could be great.
