After several years as an Adwords advertiser, my company decided to try for an Adsense account. We built a separate website filled with original content and images, as we did not want Adsense on our main retail website. The articles and content on our second website were aimed at the interests of our target audience, but did not compete directly with our main business.
After much work we submitted this site to Google Adsense. After a 2 week wait we received a rejection email saying we "did not fit their policies at this time". No explanation at all what the issues were. We have emailed back asking for clarificaton but don't hold out much hope of a response.
We were quite stunned as ours is a quality website with great advertiser / keyword potential (no porn, gambling or other TOS issues). It is not like some of the 2-page Made For Adsense dreck webpages, devoid of content, which seem to have been approved by Adsense. I can't post our URL for comment yet as we're considering options.
Questions for this forum are: What do Google usually mean by this sort of rejection? Can we reapply at a later date? What are the best alternatives to Adsense? (we can't use YPN as we're not in the US). Any comments, similar experiences, sympathetic replies or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, CanBrit
