I thought you were not permitted to run Adsense on a gambling related website.

Google AdSense Program Policies:

Sites displaying Google ads may not include:

* Violent content, racial intolerance, or advocacy against any individual, group, or organization
* Pornography, adult, or mature content
* Hacking/cracking content
* Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia
* Excessive profanity
* Gambling or casino-related content

Could someone clairify?

Thanks in advance.

It can match the keyword of your domain.

Where in the TOS do you see that?

The strange thing about the whole issue is Google Adwords Allows Adword campaigns for gambling ADS , but TOS say Not Allowed to display them as Adsense . Weird

Just to throw this out there, some places have laws making the promotion of gambling illegal. It is legal to gamble in some of those places, but not legal to advertise the gambling services. I'm not sure where the logic is in all of that, but I'm pretty sure its the reason for why google doesn't allow gambling ads.

Without having implicit knowledge I'd suspect that gambling ads are just as outlawed on the advertiser side as they are on the domainer side. I bet google just doesn't spend the same kind of energy making their paying customers abide by it.

Yea, they do, but it depends in some ways upon the geo targeting, because laws differ. And there's always ways to get around anything, of course. I have an adwords client who sells casino supplies, and I have to ask for exceptions all the time because my keywords and ads trigger the anti-gaming filter, and they're not allowed. I always get my exception, but it's an extra step I've had to deal with.

Type in "casino" into Google page and you will see NO ads from Google.
Democrats will change that in 2009.......
