AdSense - New owner of website that already had AdSense - What do I do?

Hi,

I have recently bought a webmaster bulletin board from someone but the adsense is still paying him. Do I just change the "google_ad_client" to my number which is "pub-xxxxxxxxxxx" on pages that adsense is displayed so that I get paid instead of him.

I am reluctant to cut and paste new adsese code into the site that is generated by the adsense wizard as I like the way things currenly blend into the site's colors and where the ads currenlty sit in the site. Is changing the the google_ad_client the only thing I need to do to make sure I get paid rather then him?

I read somewhere that the previous owner needs to cancel his account for the website he sold to me too. Is that correct and what happens if he does not do that?

yes, just replace the Pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx with yours and it will then start counting the clicks on your account.
