I'm new at using adsense. i was just wondering, what exactly determines how much money a click gets you? i know that certain keyword ads have higher payouts than others, but are the keywords/ads that are clicked the ONLY factor that affect how much each click generates? or is there some (secret) mathematical correlation between page impressions and cost per click? also, does the eCPM value that google has actually mean anything? (since i thought that adsense is cpc, rather than cpm)

thanks.

edit: oh i also forgot, i'm getting like $1-$2 per click, and i personally feel like thats a decent amount. is it?

Only thing that really affects the CPC is the niche that you are in and the keywords you are using. Different Niches/Keywords have higher payouts. Your CTR will also affect the payout, the higher the click through the higher CPC you will recieve.

If you are getting 1-2 a click with AdSense you would love a Premium feed, they generally have a bit higher CPC.

PM me if you have any questions regarding AdSense or want information on how to get a Premium Feed.

Advertisers do get a chance to submit their opinion too.

If clicks from your site are converting well enough you will get good payouts. Otherwise some cents.

thats a decent amount but this is not always you get since their were some advertisers who will spend little cents per click

It also depends on from where the traffic is coming from...

If you are sending paid traffic to your domain, you can chose your own keywords which helps monetize the cpc. if its all organic traffic, it totally depends on your Nich.

Paid traffic the way to go :) Ive made some good money off of that
