According to the whois data, Namejet Pre-Release Domain Names are renewed for 1 year. But how if no one backorder these domains? Namejet keep it ? Or just drop it? If dropped, when?

Thanks. :$: :$: :$:

These names are renewed with the registry but the registrar has up to 45 days to cancel the renewal and get a refund. That means, they have plenty of time for a grace period for customer, then to auction the name.
If it gets no bid, it is dropped (goes to redemption) and the expiry date at registry level is adjusted accordingly (-1 year).

I have picked up a few domains that I saw at Namejet, figured I would risk not getting the name and tried getting it for reg fee. Sometimes these names will drop. In other occasions I have seen them again a month later on the Namejet pre-release list (I query for certain keywords to see what is available).

Does anyone know much about how long the backorder process takes? How long before a Deleting Domain is made available. i ask, because i have backorder a couple of domains at Namejet - and they don't really state a deadline or closing date for bids?

Has anyone had much experience with Namejet backordering - good or bad?

I wouldn't bet on that. I often see names appearing in the public auction multiple times.

If the winner of any auction was non-paying bidder, they re-auction the domain and list it in "Public Auctions".
