Hmm...
I recently transferred Quarterdeck.info from GoDaddy to Moniker. Last night, I saw that it had left my GoDaddy Account but had not yet appeared in my Moniker Account. I thought nothing more of it, as the transfer was due to complete by today.
I checked at Moniker today and sure enough it was there. What really surprised me though was that the creation date had changed to today's date even though the domain was almost a year old and not due to expire until 6th April 2008. I even have the opportunity to delete it for a grace credit.
Whilst I'm glad that the transfer was a success, the creation date has been reset which is annoying as it now looks like a fresh reg. Even more perturbing is that someone might have had the opportunity to register it last night when it wasn't showing in either account! Whilst the domain is not hugely valuable, I would not want to lose it. Imagine if someone attempted to transfer a much more valuable .info domain with the same result...
Has this happened to anyone else?
Matt.
