Hmm...

I recently transferred Quarterdeck.info from GoDaddy to Moniker. Last night, I saw that it had left my GoDaddy Account but had not yet appeared in my Moniker Account. I thought nothing more of it, as the transfer was due to complete by today.

I checked at Moniker today and sure enough it was there. What really surprised me though was that the creation date had changed to today's date even though the domain was almost a year old and not due to expire until 6th April 2008. I even have the opportunity to delete it for a grace credit. :|
Whilst I'm glad that the transfer was a success, the creation date has been reset which is annoying as it now looks like a fresh reg. Even more perturbing is that someone might have had the opportunity to register it last night when it wasn't showing in either account! Whilst the domain is not hugely valuable, I would not want to lose it. Imagine if someone attempted to transfer a much more valuable .info domain with the same result...

Has this happened to anyone else?

I am not sure what the issue is? I looked at the whois & the creation date shows April 2007, is that wrong?

a bug in moniker system maybe, because whois shows creation date is April 11 2007 ..
I transfered out a domain almost a month ago to godaddy, but I can still see the domain name in my moniker account.

The whois says:
Created On:11-Apr-2007 19:43:13 UTC

But the registrar records may indicate otherwise (the date it entered their system). It's the registry data that is authoritative so I hope 11-Apr-2007 is the correct date :)

You will want to send a Support Ticket to have the Ghost Record removed or you will get charged come renewal time. This has happened in the past. I know you shouldn't have to ask for it to be removed, but to prevent further issues, I suggest just sending in the support ticket now. :ghost:

well, thanks for the advice, ... I've already set the autorenew off .. but,I will send the support ticket shortly
anyway, does this happens all the time ?

Thanks Yofie. I will do the same. The domain is still showing as having a creation date of 3rd April 2008 in my Moniker Account and I still have the option of deleting it for credit lol. Thanks to others for confirming the correct info.
