Wow, what a day!
Like a number of others I have dropped a number of domains over the last few years and focused on only what "I" considered my quality domains.
I broke that run today and registered my first .tv in probably 2 years!
For mine, this is a great day for .tv.
The end of premium renewal rates? Maybe, maybe not - but certainly a large number of premiums will no longer be at premium rates. TBH, I don't care if all .tv's don't go to regular renewal rates, I just want the rates to be realistic. A healthy extension is an extension where domains are desired, and bought and sold freely.
Renewal prices have always been the issue (not the upfront cost) and today that has either been fixed by the registrar or a big step taken in that direction.
So we can all look forward to a healthy marketplace and most importantly the market setting the "value" of your portfolio.
Good luck to all - it has taken a few years but now maybe we can start developing our domainestate with some new confidence!
