domain A few "non" English .be domains

I went a regegd a few .be domains like everyone else, but my thinking was not to reg any old word with the .be extenstion, to to do a little research into keywords used in French to search.

Using a combination of Google, Overture France and BabelFish, I went out and regged some of the following.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated, as would any French speaker pointing out any mistakes, spelling or otherwise, that I may have done.

vacancesfamille dotbe
Translates as Family Holidays ( I think)
French Overture Results for Septemer - 8197
Google results - 4,140,000


telechargementgratuit dotbe
Translates as Free Downloads ( I think )
French Overture Results for Septemer - 26085
Google results - 6,020,000


chambrehotel dotbe
Translates as Hotel Rooms ( I think )
French Overture Results for Septemer - 103000
Google Results - 5,420,000


Any thoughts on these would be most appreciated, especially from a French speakers point of view.

Sound like solid names. I reg'd some spanish .be's...even though belgians don't speak spanish.. but I couldn't pass up Drogas.be

Also is anyone here able to confirm that correct use of French for these domains ??

The translations are correct.
chambre d'hôtel in French translates to hotelroom but the d' would sound odd, you can drop it.
So chambrehotel is the right combo IMHO. I think this name is the most promising.
As for the others they are so-so unless you develop they could be nice.

I'm a french speaking Belgian so I think that I can help you :hehe:

It's strange but I think that the french speaking people prefer hyphenated combination of words... In your case: telechargement-gratuit.be, vacances-famille.be and chambre-hotel.be have more value than the non-hyphenated versions.

Just check the registered extensions for chambrehotel.??? and chambre-hotel.??? and you will have the demonstration of what I mean.
