I was surprised to see her (sorry didn’t check the gender, am no experts in cats for simplicity I would call it "her").

Anyways, it was so cute and irresistible. I started looking for her mother but that "bitch" was no where.

I got a feeder and tried to give her some milk. She immediately started sucking the nipple but I guess she did not like the taste of it. (I never have though that Nestle is so bad even kittens don’t like it.)

I was going back to my parent’s home and got into the dilemma of weather I should take her with me or leave here hoping her mother would come and take care of her.

I decided to leave her there with a "plate" of the same milk. (I thought she might not be hungry right now, after all that’s Nestle Everyday)

Well, I left the house with heavy heart. Literally I have been thinking about her and her fcuking mother all the way and then all day long.

Next day, when I came back, she was playing happily. (That was a good sign) I thought her mother would be around and feeding her regularly (good cat).

So I have got myself a new pet. Any suggestions if the good cat again turns into an ugly bitch and leave her without food.

I will try to post some pics of her tonight. :)

hmm. thanks for the help guys. I will get these things for her tomorrow. Any suggestion about the sleeping place. I have placed a soft foam sheet near to her with a warm peice of cloth but she does not like it and go straight to her hole. What is best for her?

And I am still confused about her mother feeding her. Do you think she is still feeding her?

BTW TD, I really liked the quotes in your signature.

If you put a cloth, a little blanket or a foamy sheet near the hole that's all you can do for now. The most important thing is that you watch the weight and check the fur every now and then. It's hard to say if the mother is still feeding the kitten. If you haven't seen the mother around, I hightly doubt it, that's why it's important that you check the fur every now and then. If it gets a sticky or fatty texture, it's a definite sign of lack of nutrition. The spit on the cats tounge contains an enzyme that keeps the cats fur clean and shiny. A cat spends over 50% of it's life cleaning itself, so another sign of problems would be if the cat stops cleaning itself. That's when it's time to look for a vet.

Damn, her legs and tail were all dirty. I thought she must be playin gin dust and washed them with water. Also I have noticed that her fur is not as shiney as it was on the first day. So may be I should take her to the Vet.

Thanks for the advice.

A visit to the vet just to do a check up would never hurt. Especially if the kitten is abandoned. Keep your eyes open for the next couple of days, make sure the kitty gets plenty of food. If you see improvement - great, if it gets worse you know what to do :)

First, gotta love guys who love cats! :hearts:

Second, the lil thang is cute and looks pretty young! Whether you planned on keeping him/her or not I think you have a pal for life! :)

If you've not quite worked out what to feed him/her there are some kitten formulas and kitten wet food on the market. He/She is a long ways aways from dry kitten chow. There is specific kitten milk that you might want to use. And, you should definately get him/her to a vet so you can find out her/his age. His/Her age will dictate a lot of what needs to be done.

I found a 4 week old once and the vet told me I really had to (try) feed him (every 2 hours!) kitten milk from a bottle. At that young an age they don't know how to do much but suckle. At 'bout 7 weeks I was able to put the milk in plate with kitten (wet) food.

On other thing... don't play too rough with him/her because at this age it seems cute and doesn't hurt. BUT, when he/she gets older he/she will think this rough playing is how it's supposed to be and someone will get hurt! :( Give her a stuffed something to gnaw on but if he/she bites you blow in his/her face. They hate that!

Good luck with him... her... whichever! :)

Yeah, she started biting on my hands and feet. I have just read that its not a good habit to develop and I thought shes missing her mom and that poor fellow only wants to play with my hands/feet as she would with her mother. Gotta get her some stuffed toys as well. Also she often wants to sit in between both of my feet or will rub her body with the sides of both of my feet. I kinda started loving these acts. :)

Here are few more pictures of her taken with a mobile cam so quality is not that good. But she's getting more n more healthy day by day :) also her furr is shining even more.

Anyone want a kitten? We have 10 little kittens, aging from 7 days, to five weeks, five others ranging from 3 months, to 6 months, then a few 9 month - 12 month.

All free to good homes. ;)

Cute little white kitten you have there. Reminds me of one we used to have.

10 small kittens? Let them stay with their mom until they are 12 weeks old atleast. I would love to have a kitten, unfortunately I live across the atlantic..UPS or FedEx wouldn't exactly solve that problem :)

Nah! Actually everyone here calls a cute kitten "Mano" and my family also started calling her with this name. She give some responses to "Mano" now and I have decided this name just suites her. :)

Can we take them along on a flight or in a train? Is that allowed?

Cats don't like to be moved around a lot..they like to explore and mark their territories. The problem is, all cats are different. Some cats love to sit in a car and drive around - others go completely insane. It's really a matter of how the cat reacts.

Also, if you're thinking about putting a cat on a plane, look at the things they have to go through before you even get to take them on board. They have to go through medical checks, they have to sit in quarantine for a while..it's really complicated to travel with animals especially by plane. I wouldn't wish for any animal to go through that kind of treatment.

Great story ;) I love cats.

Reason i like cats more than my dogs, my cat cant bark like my dogs, and if i tell the get no it listens, when my dogs bark, i will tell them its ok, and no bark, they dont listen. Unfortunatly the ONLY way to make them stop is slapping them in the ass :-0 (Not hard at all, but you get the point)

My kitty kat Felix is the best animal i ever had ;)
