Hi!

I am so confused and I need your help. I found a very attractive domain name at Sedo and the price is less than $ 250. OVT returns more than 75,000 results for the keyword combination (two keywords) but Google Trends says: "Your terms - xxxx xxxx - do not have enough search volume to show graphs". The domain name is exactly the keyword combination that gets more than 75,000 OVT "xxxx xxxx.com"

:-/

SEDO Stats:
Visitors to this Sedo Listing*: 3
Unique Visitors per month*: 65

So it seems that there is some type in traffic.

What do you think; should I buy it?

Cheers,

Gazzoo

75K ovt is a lot, even it is not the exact with quote search. You'd better research more
to make sure the traffic matches the ovt.

Thanks for your quick reply!

Google returns about 3,500,000 results without quotes and 2,300,000 with quotes. I am just so confused about the thing with Google Trends; I have tried some other terms that get far less than 75,000 OVT and Google Trends shows a graph for them. :-/

How can I do more research on it? Any suggestions? I would appreciate any help.

I would like to develop this domain because I think it has great potential.

Don't use Google results to determine value.. use Google results to determine how much competition you'd have to reach #1 ranking for those keywords. Google results just show how many times those keywords show across the Web.

I noticed that only recently - the CW is that high G=Good. WRONG!

OK, if those are your keywords and you are developing that about ends the discussion --- but.....

Overture has a few problems. Plurals are lumped in with singulars and word order is not considered. AirPort is a great keyword. PortAir is not so great.

Is this a .com? If it's a .com, with 75,000 OVT, and the word order is right (see above the AirPort vs PortAir example), it should be a good deal.

Have you tried Adwords keyword research tool, see also Wordtracker, and of course OVT bids. Look at brandability and the market.

Also, go to domainscore.com and post the score here.

If you want, you can PM me the name and I'll do some research and give you my opinion fwiw - don't worry I won't steal it or you can have my head on a platter here on the NPr forums. I have zero interest in buying domains above reg fee right now anyway.
